Flow & Tell presenter & Project Blowed co-founder Abbey Rizzle aka Abstract Rude. Since DIY'ing the inaugural FAT Tour back in 2000 with then first time tourers Awol One, 2Mex & Busdriver/, Abbey Rizz has spent the last 15 years building & enhancing his indie network across the globe. A 'post signed to a major label' career took him halfway around the globe in support of what became classic indie hip-hop soul releases on imprints like Ocean Floor Records, Mass Men Records, Battleaxe, Project Blowed Rec., then finally Rhymesayers. In addition to his original group Abstract Tribe Unique (ATU) with producer Fat Jack & DJ Drez, and teamed up projects w/ Aceyalone (A-Team) and Myka 9 (Haiku d'etat), Rude has collabed with artists internationally on eps & lps in Canada (w/Codename Scorpion), Germany (w/ Ich bin Taktloss), Australia (w/ Resin Dogs) and the UK (w/Big Dada/Ninja Tune, also The Nextmen, DJ Vadim & Yarah Bravo). But no matter where Ab Rude has ventured as a touring recording artist, LA remains his birthplace, home & resident city where he makes ATU music, throws events, actively rallies his Blowedian crew and develops artists on his Keep The Feel Ent. imprint. March 2011 saw the return of Flow & Tell; since the original artists recounting on a namesake song on Ab Rude's 2003 lp (Showtyme!), as a 1 nite only gathering co-presented at LA's famed URBAN UNDERGROUND WEEKLY. Abbey Rizz & UUweekly vowed to do this event biannually, so here we are...5 years and 10 volumes later for the advancement of hip-hop in LA!
